Have a great day!
Maggie
Every day we take in nourishment in the form of food or drink. It's ability to provide nutrients is based one many things such as soil, sunlight, water and the love with which it is grown. Our food and drink can also be energized with Reiki energy and therefore give our bodies the ultimate nourishment possible from the food. You simply hold your hand or both hands, whatever is possible, over the food and allow the energy to be imbued into the food item. If you have your Second degree you can draw the symbol you feel is appropriate over the item and again let the Reiki energy be sent into the food. When we are eating food other than what is prepared by ourselves, this is a good practice to do so that any evidence of negative energy contained in the food can be cleared if necessary and replaced with positive. Our bodies are dependant on ourselves to provide it with the best nourishment possible and adding Reiki to your meals is a wonderful way to promote this.
Have a great day! Maggie

I believe that outside of the Reiki treatment itself, the client experience as a whole is vitally important. The environment and the setting can set the tone for the treatment and the client needs to feel comfortable in all facets. I remember the first time I myself went for a treatment and how I had so many questions in my mind as to how I would feel never having met the practitioner and having my first treatment. I want very much for my client to feel at ease the minute they walk into my home, as I work out of my home, and feel a sense of calm and peace. Each client comes for treatment with a unique set of needs and given this the entire experience needs to be one that requires little thinking on the part of the individual. The client may be meeting me for the first time and this may also be their first Reiki experience, and therefore the treatment area needs to be one that is pleasant and comfortable and he/she needs to feel safe. As a practitioner I need to be very sensitive to all of these factors and make the experience one that will allow them to be fully present without distractions. In other words they simply need to be able to 'be' and take in the energy of the universe that will be shared with them. This will allow for an optimal experience for the client and afford them increased wellness as a result.
I strive to create a client experience that is pleasant, comfortable and healing. The clients needs are always the priority and increased healing will come as a result. An 'openness to receive' will result more so from an experience that is positive. As my treatment area progresses and comes nearer to completion I will share photos of the space giving you an idea of what you can expect when you come for a treatment. Blessings, Maggie There are times in life when you just simply know that you are ready for something to take place. Many years ago I had a private practice that include both Reiki and Reflexology. I loved being able to share both of these modalities with my clients and to be a part of their wellness team. When I opened my bookshop several years ago I was not able to keep up with my private practice due to the demands of both the shop and my career as a nurse. I took a hiatus from my practice but always knew that I would return to it. As life changes and circumstances change I am now at a point in my life where I am once again putting together my Reiki practice and the Reflexology will follow. It's interesting as I have thought about returning to my practice for a couple of years and yet it has only been in the past several months that I truly knew it was the right time. Everything is falling into place and I will hopefully be booking appointments beginning in November. I am going to go live with the website before actually opening my practice as this will allow me to keep everyone posted as to how things are coming along. We are in the midst of some renovations to our home and also my client space and I am excited to share these changes as they are completed. Fall is a time of slowing down and heading into a 'hibernation' mode and yet for myself it is now a time of renewed activity which lends itself to the paradox that life so often is. I have learned over the years that to rush is to create unnecessary anxiety in a person, including myself, and therefore even as I am creating in a time of slowing down I know that I must do this in a fashion that will be organized but calm. It will all fall into place as it should. So given all of that, I will let everyone know when I am able to begin to book appointments.
I will share my thoughts on this blog page and I hope you will follow along with me. I welcome your comments and observations on any posts that I may share. Blessings to all, Maggie |
